Who can have the operation?

Surgery can be carried out any time after physical development is complete - usually in the late teens or early twenties. Nasal surgery after the age of 40 may be less satisfactory because as the skin ages and becomes less elastic it does not follow the contour of the altered nasal framework as well.

Surgery should be performed only if there is a good chance of achieving the result you want. If the deformity is minimal and hardly perceptible to anyone but yourself, rhinoplasty may not produce as much of a change as you expect.
